Weeknotes#16 Color Quotient, Afropunk Fest, & Sensored City

Silent Lights was featured on the 16th Issue of Color Quotient (spelt Colour Quotient in British English), a magazine focused on color, published by Asian Paints in India. According to their website the magazine is a way to share ideas, insights and information on colour. It takes its inspiration from the different moods of colours and the relationship that colour has with this cosmic world. Silent Lights is featured in their ‘Insight’ section. You can purchase the magazine here

The Afropunk Fest was this past weekend. Thousands of New Yorkers gathered at Commodore Barry Park to celebrate all things Afropunk. Silent Lights acted as an entrance gateway for the festival. We created signage for the crowds to interact with the piece. (image below)

Last week we also started work on a new project in collaboration with Creative Commons funded by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The project is focused on Citizen Sourced Open Data. More details on the project here.
