We moderated a conversation around the ‘The Intersection of Architecture & Public Art for Innovative Community Revitilization’ at the Center for Architecture in New York. The questions that we raised included :

• How do art and architecture work together to create impromptu community spaces?
• What grassroots strategies can be used to reclaim neglected spaces for the public good?
• How can design and creativity empower individuals to actively engage with their communities?

The event was organized by Architecture for Humanity NY Chapter and the panelists included Wendy Feuer, Assistant Commissioner Urban Design & Art, NYC Department of Transportation, Jerome Chou, Director of Programs, Design Trust for Public Space, Mateo Pintó, Architect, Artist, & Educator at Parsons New School for Design, Borbay, Location Artist & Architectural Impressionist.
