Shagun is a multidisciplinary designer, urbanist and storyteller. She has worked in acclaimed design studios like frog, 2×4, C&G Partners, Antenna Design, SOM and Local Projects in the past 6 years. She has also worked with educational institutions like the National Institute of Design in India and in NYU’s Advanced Media Studio. Shagun is passionate about design-thinking and her work has composed of design and technology solutions for products, services and spaces. She received her Masters Degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at Tisch School of Arts, NYC and did her undergrad at the Center for Environmental Planning and Technology at Ahmedabad, India. Shagun’s core expertise includes design research, interaction and information design, concept prototyping, scenario building, mind mapping and storytelling.

Rick is a sculptor, photographer, filmmaker and creative technologist. After receiving his degree in Fine Arts from Oberlin College in 1996, he went on to broadcast television and filmmaking working for public relations firm Burson-Marsteller. Always interested in innovation and creative thinking Rick moved on to Meaningful Machines in 2001, where he worked on a small elite team of technologists developing artificial intelligence and distributed programming applications for the web. After working in a start up environment for 8 years, he left to pursue his creative side. He spends his time now consulting on projects involving new media/ film / TV and social media applications for the internet.

Valeria is an accomplished creative director and product designer. She graduated at the Politecnico di Torino, with a degree in Industrial Design. She has been working in New York City for over 10 years and an extensive background in product, packaging, furniture, interior and environmental design. Since 2009 she has been providing ID services for branding agencies across the city such as: Pearlfisher, Established NYC, Wallace Church developing concepts for Dell, BBW, Carolina Herrera, Kenneth Cole among others. Valeria also developed a line of custom furniture for waiting areas in several US airports for experiential design firm ICRAVE. Valeria’s career started with world renowned designer Karim Rashid, with whom she worked for 6 years on a wide range of products in furniture and exhibition designs. Through Karim’s Studio she has brought products to market for furniture companies in the US and abroad. Valeria’s exploratory nature and can-do attitude, has prompted her to tackle a variety of fields within the design spectrum: from product to packaging, to environment and humanitarian design. A connection between all is found in her dedication to design and the process that leads to creating meaningful design experiences.
